All staff are nice and helpful. Parking is ok. Been here for 4 years. They can't seem to get the stickers and weeds under... control. Lawn service they have is sub par. The wash rooms are expensive. So better to get apartment with washer dryer connection. Neighbors are friendly. They keep to themselves. Most of AC units are old and drive up electric bill. But over all a decent place to live. This complex is okay. Good luck trying to swim in the pool if you work an 8-5. The pool is closed when the office is closed.... I found a man sleeping in one of the laundry facilities and had to call the cops on him. A man was screaming at his baby mama in the parking lot with a young 3 year old child in their vehicle. No ceiling light in the living room. If you want to use the oven/stove mine has to be from the 90s or before…it doesn’t even have a timer on it and my dishwasher was as old as the oven but it was finally replaced after I told maintenance rust was all inside the dishwasher (they should’ve checked prior to renting out the unit). I’ve had water leaks come from my bathroom light from upstairs neighbors running water. My bathroom fan has never worked. Office and maintenance staff are very nice though.Read More about It’s okay

I wanted to post this due to the apartment complex response to the latest state of emergency regarding the water issue we... had. Anytime I checked my email, , there was always a new update. They acted incredibly fast to make sure we were taken care of. We were able to use the pool water to collect for flushing purposes, they provided multiple sister locations in midland for us to use their showers, had portable toilets delivered as well as providing information to get drinking water. Several weeks ago I was offered a lease renewal and after looking around the Odessa area I concluded that I was getting the... best apartment for my money I was willing to spend. While there are a number of other apartment complexes that were a little cheaper and in a couple of cases, newer and with more up to date appliances, the three things that stand out for me which are of more value starts with the incredibly responsive maintenance staff. Every time I needed something fixed, it was done either that day or the next. I have lived in many apartments over the years, but the response time here is hands down the best. Next, the office staff and in particular Kristen, was the most helpful in attending to my lease renewal negotiations. She was especially helpful with assisting me in getting setup with the ECISD teacher discount program which has resulted in renewing my lease and in getting the "biggest bang for the buck". I found her to be very pleasant in her demeanor and her prompt responses.
Lastly, the area is jam packed full of restaurants, gas stations, and everything you will need. I can literally walk out of my apartment and within 1 - 2 minutes be sitting inside of a Wendy's, Arby's, McDonalds, and many other restaurants. My only wish was closer proximity to an HEB or a Wal-Mart. These stores can be found less than two miles down the road, but I guess I'm just spoiled by the close proximity to other stores and I'm looking for the "cherry" on top of the sundae.
Overall and hands down, High Plains Apartments is the right choice for me.Read More about Great Office Staff
